Boost Your Metabolism Naturally: Why You Should Take a Ginger Shot Every Day

Does your metabolism need a boost?  Studies indicate a shot of ginger may help speed up a slowing metabolism. I talk about metabolism a lot with my students during my unit on Fitness and Nutrition.  It’s a hot topic and therefore imperative that the information I provide them is carefully researched and backed by science.  They will be able to make informed decisions suitable for them when it comes to their overall health and well-being.

How Does Ginger Boosts Metabolism?

The thermogenic effect of Ginger when eating is what makes it the best bang for your metabolic buck.  You’ll be burning off calories even while you eat.  Not only is ginger good for boosting metabolism but could also play a role in your overall wellness.  Combined with other ingredients like lemon and honey, ginger can be a powerful natural elixir for inflammation, digestion, and giving your immune system a boost.  But it is essential to check with your health care provider if there are any underlying health concerns before indulging.

One thing we know for sure, ginger shots are a little healthier than your typical happy hour shot.
